2017 Women’s Retreat
October 27-29, 2017
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
“The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.”
-1 Timothy 1:14
On our own, we are all unworthy and undeserving of anything from God. But because of Jesus, not only do we receive the forgiveness of our sins but the abundant overflow of God’s daily grace!
Join us for a special weekend of experiencing God’s overflowing grace at the 2017 Midwest Women’s Retreat, October 27-29, 2017 in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
More than 800 women from Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwest Indiana and Eastern Iowa are expected to attend. There will be great teaching, fellowship, fun activities and lots of free time to grow closer to God and each other.
Our guest speakers include mother-daughter duo Geri Laing and Elizabeth Laing Thompson.
Geri Laing has spent more than 40 years working in the ministry with her husband, Sam. Together they have served churches in Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey and North Carolina. Geri is the author of many books on marriage, family and spiritual living, including A Life Worth Living, Raising Awesome Kids in Troubled Times (coauthored with her husband), and The Tender Years: Parenting Preschoolers (coauthored with her daughter Elizabeth Laing Thompson). Geri loves God, loves the Bible, loves her family, and loves teaching women about the joys of living life God’s way. Her greatest treasures in this life are her husband, her four grown children and their spouses, and her eleven grandchildren.
Elizabeth Laing Thompson writes at LizzyLife.com about clinging to Christ through the chaos of daily life. As a minister, speaker, and novelist, she loves finding humor in holiness and hope in heartache. Her newest book, When God Says, “Wait,” is available at bookstores nationwide. She lives in North Carolina with her preacher husband and four spunky kids, and they were totally worth the wait.
