What is race? What is the history of terms like Caucasian, African-American, Asian or Hispanic? And are these concepts relevant in Christianity?
Building Bridges is the first two-day workshop, in a series, designed to promote enriching conversations about culture, race, the Gospel and our communal opportunity to be a light and source of healing in our fractured world. With guest speakers Michael Burns of the Minneapolis Church of Christ and Ted Williams, Chairman of Kennedy-King College Social Science Department; this weekend workshop and Sunday worship will feature expert panels, interactive discussions and informative skits to foster a deeper understanding of race and the Gospel.
