The Chicago Church of Christ is a very unique and diverse church, comprised of approximately 2,000 members throughout the Chicagoland area. Here in the Greater Westland Ministry Center (one of the seven ministry centers within the church), our doors are wide open to people from all walks of life as well. There are more than 400 members in this ministry which serves the western suburbs. We represent the communities of Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Plainfield, Joliet and others to the south; Wheaton, Naperville, Aurora, Montgomery, Oswego, Batavia, St. Charles and others to the west; Lisle, Woodridge, Downers Grove and others to the east; and Carol Stream, Bartlett, Hoffman Estates, Elgin, East Dundee and others to the north!

Even though we all meet together on Sunday mornings, you'll find that in many ways, we are small. In fact, we're essentially made up of small gatherings that we call house churches. This is the heartbeat of our ministry! These small groups are characterized by love and devotion, and a place where we build close friendships, share meals in our homes, help meet one another's needs, strengthen each other spiritually, aid one another in family matters (such as marriage and parenting help) reach out to our community and anything else you can imagine a spiritual family doing together. If you'd like to develop authentic and enduring relationships with others, then you'll be glad to know that there's a place for you in one of our house churches. We want every person who attends regularly, or even those who just visit one time, to feel God's love for them through our love for one another. Carrying out the two greatest commandments of loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and loving your neighbor as yourself is the passion and goal of our ministry center.

In addition to our house churches, we have some other dynamic ministries as well:

• Youth Ministry is vibrant and active (5^th-12^th grade), and we have specialized ministries for the pre-teens, young teens and high-school-aged students. This is a great place for the youth to feel like they really matter.
• Kingdom Kids Ministry: We typically have about 180 kids with us on Sunday mornings, ranging from infant to 4^th-graders. Our kids get lively Bible teaching every week. The kids always want to come back because they enjoy the great atmosphere of fun and learning about God with one another.
• Other ministries: Service to the poor and needy, financial stewardship training, dynamic marriage classes, Wednesday night Bible studies and more.

Together, we're striving to be the church described in the Bible (emphasis on striving!), a church with relevant and biblical teaching, inspiring preaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, a focus on prayer and compassionate care for those in need. We want to influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time. So no matter where you're at in your spiritual journey, you can find a home here in our western suburban ministry.
