The
Southland Ministry Center of the Chicago Church of Christ "borrowed" its name
from term that characterizes Chicago's 61 south and southwest suburbs.
Our region has members coming from a vast area from just south of I-55
all the way to Manteno, from Joliet to Crown Point, Indiana and just
about everywhere in between. The region is quite diverse, not only in
regards to the neighborhoods we live in, but also in ethnicity,
economically, and culturally. We have worked hard to blend all of these
multicultural elements in a powerful, united group whose primary
purpose in life is to bring glory to our Father in heaven.
Currently,
our nearly 200 members enjoy many levels of community as we make every
effort to be great disciples of Christ. We meet collectively every
Sunday to worship and honor God, we offer rotating midweek services
where we focus on maturing our faith through bible study, prayer and
discussion for men only, women only and smaller "family group" settings
and we also encourage regular, intimate groups where individual needs
can be addressed and met. We encourage every member to actively pursue
their Godly passions, and by doing so, they can bless the lives of
others by sharing their gifts.
We
welcome anyone who desires to join our quest and journey to glorify God
in our lives. Please join us, as our honored guests, to participate
with your intellect, emotions and complete heart to eagerly commune
with our intimate, fun and lively group.
