Whether you say hello, hola, cześć, kumusta, or even zdravstvuite, you'll feel right at home attending the Metro ministry center of the Chicago Church of Christ.
Geographically,
the Metro ministry center covers the north and west sides of Chicago, as well as
the near west suburbs such as Oak Park, Forest Park, River Forest,
Elmwood Park, Cicero, and Berwyn. Our members warmly reflect the cultural diversity of the communities from which we
come.
With
a typical Sunday attendance of more than 600 people, our ministry center
meets at Prosser Career Academy, near the newly redeveloped Brickyard
shopping district in Chicago. On most Sundays, there is a separate
Spanish-language service held concurrently.
Sunday
services in the Metro are warm, friendly, worshipful, and
inspiring. While adults are participating in the main service, children
are able to enjoy their own time of learning about God and making new
friends in the "Kingdom Kids" children's program for infants through 8th graders.
The
friendly fellowship of the Metro Region does not end on Sundays. Each
member is a part of a smaller, more intimate group, called a "house
church." Most house churches meet weekly on Wednesday nights. The City
North Sector, which covers the north side of Chicago, meets as a sector
on Thursday nights.
Throughout
the year, the Metro ministry center hosts a number of fun and spiritually
uplifting events such as newlywed classes, parenting devotionals, teen
and preteen devotionals, singles events, a Christmas concert, a
marriage retreat, a Valentine's dinner, a Good Friday fish fry, and
lots more.
Feel
free to visit one of our services and see for yourself what God is
doing right here in the heart of Chicago's north and west sides.
