A discussion and support group for members with adopted children meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:30pm at the church office (655 W. Grand Ave., Suite 220, Elmhurst, IL). The text that is being used to guide the discussion is Twenty Things Adopted Children Wish Their Adoptive Parents Knew by Sherrie Eldridge.
The Second Annual Spanish Speaking Women's Day will be held June 7, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree hotel in Oak Brook. This year's event is titled A Free Soul and includes a lunch and a message by featured speaker Wendy Ellis. The cost is $35 and registration will be available at church services in each ministry center.
The entire Chicago Church of Christ will join together in worship on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 10am at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt, Chicago. This worship service is also the conclusion of the Glorious Worship Leaders Conference.

The Apologetics Research Society, home of Dr. John Oaks and the EvidenceForChristianity.org website, have selected Chicago to host the 2008 International Apologetics Conference. This event will bring together scientists, scholars, teachers and Christians from around the world to share ideas and to hear inspiring messages. It is for anyone who is interested in using Christian evidences as a way to build up their own faith , the faith of those in their churches and to reach out to unbelievers. There will be classes by experts in different fields of apologetics, discussion groups, forums, an evangelistic event on Friday evening and a debate on Saturday night.
